Prof. dr. Herbert Löhner

My name is Herbert Löhner. I am professor in experimental nuclear and particle physics, retired since December 2012, and still busy with international research projects in hadron structure and exotic QCD phenomena. The team spirit of FMF and their professional organization of wonderful excursions to fascinating places of high cultural and scientific interest are legendary. Nesos’15 promises fantastic insights into exotic Southeast Asia and will be a great experience. I am curious!

In 2009 I joined the GBE excursion to South America which I liked so much that I am happy to be part of the present one. In addition Indonesia is especially attraction as my country of birth. I certainly hope that our visit to Singapore and Indonesia will also help to strengthen the mutual ties, not only for my own fields of research, effective-field theory and astro-particle physics, but also for that of other groups in physics and astronomy.
