Once every two years the foundation GBE-FMF organizes a study trip to a destination outside of Europe. During this trip twenty students accompanied by the committee and two staff members will experience research and science around the globe by visiting universities, research institutes and more.
The destination of the last study trip in April 2013 was South-Africa. The students, enrolled in (applied) mathematics, (applied) physics, computer science and astronomy at the University of Groningen, were selected based on their CV and suitability to carry out a case-study.
